GENTLE ĀSANA, YOGA & MEDITATION
Not just a physical practice.

Explore slow, mindful movements to soften areas of restriction, create ease, stability and a little more breathing room.

Readings, prāṇāyāma, mantra and meditation techniques.

Finish with śavāsana.

Beginner's mind encouraged all levels welcome.

MEDITATION
Non-religious primarily yogic.
You won't be sitting stone-still for a whole hour. Each class will begin with a guided sitting piece. Next, I'll introduce the meditation technique to follow. If there is a theme, such as winter solstice, I'll speak to that as well. I'll guide you through the technique, and then leave us in silent meditation for a bit. I leave the "room" open for 15 minutes afterwards for and Q&A.

YOGA FROM THE GROUND UP

A sequential 10-week series. For beginners, and folks who want a refresher in fundamentals. Patañjali, yama, niyama, prāṇāyāma, concentration, meditation, mudrā, mantra, cakra(s), Upaniṣad(s)...

MINDFUL EMBODIED MEDITATION

This 10-week series springs from the guided visualizations I teach to biodynamic craniosacral students. It's a lot of fun and will change your relationship to many things. You'll gain a sense of yourself as a fluid continuum, and explore it through your fascia, bones, organs, posture and mind. If you are considering a biodynamic training, or are simply curious to explore your inner workings, these are valuable practices.

MOVING TOWARD YOGA NIDRĀ

Yoga nidrā (yogic sleep) is not a relaxation practice. It is a state of consciousness in which you remain alert and aware, though not mentally engaged, while your body sleeps. It's basically a shake-down cruise for staying conscious when the body dies. Meditation (and some relaxation practices) trains you towards yoga nidrā.

WONKY HIPS & LOW BACK WORKSHOP

Lumbar, low back, sacroliliac joint, hip issues? I'm bringing 40 years as a bodyworker (and 60 years of living in this body) to this two-hour class. It will give you practices for easing discomforts, avoiding pain and damage, and creating a stronger foundation to take your body into the future.

LUNGS, DIAPHRAGM & RIB-CAGE

Keep the breathing apparatus flexible and strong.
A two-hour workshop. To this one I bring first-hand experience of asthma, bronchitis and Covid-19. Flexibility, strength and patience are mighty valuable.
